What Is Cold Chain Shipping — and Why Insulin Depends on It

Insulin, vaccines, biologics and many injectables lose potency permanently if they leave the 2°C–8°C window — even for a few hours. That is why cold chain shipping exists.
Validated packaging Cold chain shipments travel in qualified insulated shippers with phase-change coolants. Each pack-out configuration is tested to hold temperature for a defined duration — typically 48 to 96 hours — under summer and winter profiles.
In-transit temperature monitoring Every Eviga cold chain parcel carries a calibrated data logger. It records the internal temperature at fixed intervals from dispatch to delivery, and the log can be shared with you or your pharmacist on request.
Courier and route selection Not every courier lane is equal. We route cold chain consignments through partners with pharma-grade handling (such as DHL Medical Express and FedEx Priority Cold Chain options) and choose flight routes that minimise tarmac dwell time.
